COMPASS CANCER JOURNEY MAPS
A first-of-its-kind, web-enabled, ‘living,’ evidence-based, interactive journey map for People of Color facing a diagnosis of cancer.
The Compass Cancer Journey Maps are rooted in the latest evidence-based interventions through screening, risk reduction, early detection, early diagnosis, active multidisciplinary treatment, survivorship, and hospice and end of life care. Powered by the guidelines of national and international organizations, Compass is both informational and transformational. We utilize a ‘filter’ option to first serve as a resource for all people living with cancer. Once the ideal journey has been mapped, applying a filter allows users to select scenarios that will superimpose additional mapped resources to be highlighted. These filters include ‘Black/African American’, ‘Hispanic Black’, and ‘healthcare provider’.
The Compass Cancer Journey Map will be presented in both English and Spanish with an easy-to-read, user-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing design. Printed and email options will be offered to account for the internet divide within marginalized communities.
